Dr. C. Dan Good

Pastoral Care and Counseling

Coming from a military home and being in the military himself, Charles has traveled much of his life.  It was his family’s move to Yokosuka, Japan that led to one of the most important decisions he’s ever made.  A fellow military youth led him to the Lord at age 16.  He made a profession of faith, was baptized, and began the life-long discipling process.

During his time in the Navy, Charles graduated from the University of South Carolina (NROTC) with a BS in Finance, Banking and Management.  During that period he met the joy of his life, Claudia, and they were married November 28, 1980.  Daniel, their first son, was born in April, 1982.  Charles and Claudia have 3 children and 6 grandchildren.

After trying to put God and His call on Charles’ life on hold, he finally answered that call to vocational ministry and left the business world.  He was ordained to the pastorate and chaplaincy in May 1985, and began to serve as an Army chaplain in the Reserves while working for Young Life.  He pastored in various churches in Colorado while completing his masters degree in Divinity and Counseling at Denver Seminary.  Since then, Charles has pastored multiple churches in New Jersey and southwest Missouri, worked as a chaplain in hospitals and hospices and worked as a mental health therapist (counselor).

Charles and Claudia love the Lord with all their heart and they always desire to know His will for their lives.  Preaching the Gospel and evangelizing the lost is their ultimate call.  Charles is excited to have the opportunity to continue serving the Lord in his role in Pastoral Care and Counseling at Timberline.

For fun Claudia and Charles enjoy traveling and sight-seeing, participating in craft fairs and running with their grandchildren.  They both enjoy reading and will always be lifelong learners.  They reside with their son and his family in Urbandale.
